Since many dental issues are not visible by simply looking at the surface, x-rays are necessary for a thorough diagnosis. Our digital x-rays allow our doctors to be able to provide the best treatment recommendations. Dr. Fogel takes x-rays only when necessary – at regular intervals for regular check-ups and at times of specific problems – toothaches, accidents and emergencies. X-ray technology has advanced greatly over the years and we are happy to use digital x-rays in our office. The benefits of digital x-rays are the higher quality images to see potential problems inside the tooth and a decrease in radiation needed, compared to traditional x-rays.
